Now that the game has been out for a full year, Diablo 4 is ramping up its in-game content. Not only is Season 5 well underway, but the upcoming Vessel of Hatred DLC looms in the distance, making now the best time to give Diablo 4 a try. Although Vessel of Hatred has been one of the most anticipated updates to Diablo 4, there is plenty in store at the moment to entertain players before the expansion.
Season 5 of Diablo 4 launched on August 6, and it has brought a variety of upgrades to the game. From buffing the Druid, Necromancer, and Sorcerer to new Unique items, Diablo 4's Season 5 has brought some great content and quality-of-life updates to the action RPG. However, that isn't the only reason now is a good time to jump into Diablo 4. The current March of the Goblins event only has a few days left, and players will want to participate for some extra content.

Diablo 4's Season 5 and March of the Goblins Event Offer Players Plenty of In-Game Content
A Strong Start Ahead of the Vessel of Hatred DLC
With each new update to Diablo 4 comes fresh tweaks and potential improvements, and Season 5 is no different. Some of the best changes in Season 5 have been the inclusion of uncapped XP bonuses and Profane Mindcages continuing to be part of the game. Although Diablo 4 Season 5 has needed some tweaks to help balance the patch, overall, the new Season has been a strong moment for Diablo 4.
Even better, the return of March of the Goblins brings an exciting amount of extra loot, giving players the chance to get more gold and get their hands on great drops. The Treasure Goblins of Sanctuary are always a fun addition to the game, as they bring plenty of items to covet, but there isn't much more time for players to take advantage of the event.
Vessel of Hatred comes out October 8, giving players plenty of time to experience Season 5.
The ongoing March of the Goblins event is a short-lived moment in Season 5, as it launched on August 27 and will officially end on September 3. Once this event is over, there is still a lot more on the horizon for Diablo 4, as the Vessel of Hatred expansion sets out to expand the game's lore. Season 5 is setting the groundwork for Season 6 to launch alongside the DLC, with a harrowing new story being brought into the spotlight.
Season 5 is the Perfect Time to Prepare Players For Vessel of Hatred
Once Season 5 is over, the door is wide open for Vessel of Hatred to make itself known. This DLC is bringing one of Diablo 4's biggest updates yet, as Mephisto is set to play a large role in the expansion's story. Even more exciting is the introduction of the Spiritborn, a never-before-seen class in the Diablo franchise. For gamers who have been on the fence about giving Diablo 4 a try and players who wish to return, Season 5 is the perfect way to prepare for Vessel of Hatred. Between the new content and the March of the Goblins, this is a good time to build up some XP and collect loot ahead of its release.
Although Vessel of Hatred is not part of the base game for Season 6, experiencing the ongoing content in Diablo 4 could inspire more players to get the expansion once it launches. Vessel of Hatred is adding a lot of intriguing features, like the various Mercenaries, and the game's current season is the ideal moment to get a taste of the action RPG before its most substantial update kickstarts a compelling new chapter.
