Embark on a spectacular journey to visit the main National Parks of the Canadian Rockies: Banff N.P, Jasper N.P, Yoho NP and Kootenay N.P. Between the states of Alberta and British Columbia, as well as the magnificent Vancouver Island where we will take a boat visit to spot the orcas.
Two exciting weeks lie ahead, full of adventure and contrasts, from the rainforests of the west, to the glaciers of the Rockies, passing through the desert valley called Summerland.

Day 1
Arrival at Vancouver Airport
Pick up upon arrival at the airport and transfer to the hotel in Vancouver.

Day 2
Vancouver
Free day in this city with numerous options to visit: The famous Stanley Park with its movie-like sunsets; the Museum of Anthropology at the University of British Columbia, to understand the culture of the Northwest Coast Indians; Gastown with its unique steam clock; the immense Chinatown; the Granville Island Public Market for lunch; the vibrant West End ideal for dining.

Day 3
Vancouver- Pacific Rim NP – Ucluelet (Isla de Vancouver)
After breakfast we will take the ferry that will take us to Vancouver Island. We will cross the island to go to the Pacific Rim NP but first we will stop at the Giant Red Cedar forest, which is located in the middle of the island. After the obligatory visit, we will continue the trip to the National Park where we will take a short walk along the most famous trail on the island called Wild Pacific Trail.

Day 4
Pacific Rim NP – Vancouver
After breakfast we will have a Zodiac Tour to spot Whales, Orcas, Black Bears, Bald Eagles, Sea Otters, and more fauna that lives on the seabed and on the coast. (Duration 2 and a half hours). In the afternoon we will go to the town of Nanaimo to take the ferry that takes us back to Vancouver.

Day 5
Vancouver – Clearwater
After breakfast we will take Freeway 1 (known as the Transcandaian) that will take us to Clearwater, (about 4 hours long). Next we will move to Paul Lake Provincial Park, to take a walk along the trail that will lead us to the lake (8km) where we can take a big dip in its warm water lake.

Day 6
Yosemite National Park
We leave Clearwater to head to Jasper National Park. Previously we will stop at the Mount Robson Regional Park to take a short section of the approach road to this mountain. Mount Robson, at 3,954 m, is the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. It was climbed for the first time in 1913 and is one of the most difficult summits in North America, with only 10% of expeditions reaching the summit, with all routes technically difficult.

Day 7
Angel Glacier
From the hotel in Jasper we will approach the Angel Glacier parking lot, where we will begin to walk along the “glacier trail” to the Cavell Meadows, from this point one has a magnificent panoramic view of the Canadian Rockies and the Angel and Cavell glaciers. On the descent we will approach the tongue of the glacier to see the cave through which it drains (13 km, 500 m ascent). Back to the hotel.

Day 8
Maligne Lake
We’ll travel to Maligne Lake, one of Jasper’s most famous and photogenic glacial lakes, to follow the Bald Hills Trail. At the top you can see the grandeur of this lake and the numerous glaciers that form it. (12 km, and 470 m of ascent). Return to hotel in Hinton, Jasper NP.

Day 9
Jasper N.P – Banff N.P
We will begin the journey to Banff National Park following the famous Icefield Parkway, said to be one of the most beautiful roads in the world, with views of glaciers every 1.5 km. We will pass through the Columbia Icefield, one of the largest ice fields on this planet, outside the Polar Circles and through the Bow Pass and Sunwapta Pass hills, with views of wonderful glacial lakes such as Peyto Lake, Bow Lake or Hector Lake, with changing colors. depending on the time of day. A photographic day like few others can experience. At the end of the day we will enter Banff National Park, through the Columbia Icefield, one of the largest ice fields on this planet, outside the Polar Circles.

Day 10
Valley of ten Peaks y Lake Louise
From the accommodation in Canmore we will go to the Valley of the Ten Peaks, one of the most spectacular in Canada, and after taking the required photos from its terminal moraine, we will ascend from the shore of Moraine Lake, following the Larch Valley trail towards Sentinel Pass until reaching Lake Minnestimma (12 km, 600 m climb). Return along the same path to the parking lot at Moraine Lake. In the afternoon we will move to Lake Louise to photograph the cirque of the six glaciers and its turquoise lake. Being one of the most famous in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Back to the hotel.

Day 11
Yoho Nacional Park
We leave Canmore to head to Yoho National Park, where the Takakkaw Falls are located, which is the highest waterfall in continental Canada. Then we will take the trail that goes up the Yoho Valley, an ancient glacial valley surrounded by no less than seven active glaciers that break off from a summit of more than 3000 m. We will ascend in the direction of Yoho Glacier as long as we have time.

Day 12
Bugaboo Glacier Provincial Park
After breakfast we will head to Bugaboo Provincial Park, which is located on the southwest slope of the Canadian Rockies. It is a jewel of the Canadian rockies and very unknown to Europeans. We will take the path that leads us to the tongue of the Wowell and Bugaboo glacier.

Day 13
Kootenay NP – Calgary
In the morning we will enter Kootenay National Park. In it we will carry out a hiking trip called Stanley Glacier. In the afternoon we will go to the city of Calgary. It is the largest city in the province of Alberta, Canada. Its name comes from a beach located on the island of Mull, in Scotland. It is located in a region of hills and plateaus, approximately 80 km east of the Rocky Mountains. Free afternoon to visit the city.
