I made these, they were good except a there was so much juice from the strawberries, maybe I used too many strawberries?
2 cups correct? 2 cups whole or two cups diced?Thank you!

Lidia Simic says
Hi Cindy, I used 2 cups small-diced strawberries. Enjoy!

Loriann says
Same happened to me. My two cups diced made about an inch layer in the 8×8 pan.

Sarah says
The pan in the photo looks bigger than 8×8. I’d maybe double the dry ingredients if you’re using 2 cups of strawberries.

I just made these this morning. And they turned out great. REALLY yummy! However, I changed a couple small things in the recipe. I sprayed my 8×8 pan with cooking spray and they came out just fine. I also, mixed the sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice in a bowl and then added the diced strawberries to coat well, then layered on top of oatmeal. I didn’t get any glaze like I see in the photos, but they were still delicious. I will be making this again!

I made this recipe tonight and it was amazing!! We went strawberry picking this weekend and picked 20 lbs of strawberries. I need to use them!!! How do you think these bars would freeze?
Reply
Yummiest Food says
Hi Summer! I’m glad you like the recipe! 🙂 These bars would freeze well. The texture will be a little different after you unfreeze them, but that is natural.

I don’t have a 8×8 pan. I only have a 9×13 pan. Would the amount of ingredients stay the same?
Reply
Yummiest Food says
Hi, Jennifer! 🙂 No, you should adjust (increase) ingredients for the 9×13 pan. You could increase the amount of ingredients by 2/3 or use a 1/2 of a pan.

Amanda says
Hi,
These look lovely and perfect for summer! I’m wondering if I used frozen strawberries if I thaw them and frisk the liquid from them or if I just throw them in frozen?
Thank you in advance :).

Yummiest Food says
Hi, Amanda! You can use frozen strawberries and throw them in frozen, but it’s better to frisk the liquid from them.

Is there something I can substitute the corn starch for?
Reply
Yummiest Food says
You could use Wheat Flour, Arrowroot, or Potato Starch.
